Kristy聽received a Bachelor of Science (BSc, Honours) in Biochemistry with a specialization in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Ottawa in 2022. Her undergraduate research focused on developing a heterologous prime-boost vaccination using oncolytic viruses聽expressing tumor-associated antigens as a therapeutic strategy for dedifferentiated liposarcoma. She has gained extensive experience working in various microbiology research groups and with the Public Health Agency of Canada, the latter sparking an interest in epidemiology. Building on her interdisciplinary background in microbiology, immunology, and oncology, Kristy pursued a Master of Science in Epidemiology at 9I制作厂免费, completing her degree in 2024. Her MSc thesis investigated the dynamics of the naturally acquired serological immune response to HPV and its impact on HPV infection in unvaccinated, newly formed heterosexual couples.
As a research assistant, Kristy continues to conduct research on the role of the natural humoral immune response to HPV. She also supports other team members in their work in cancer epidemiology, as well as in fundraising and knowledge translation activities for the Division.聽
