Pareesa received a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Sciences, specializing in Immunology and Genetics, from the University of British Columbia. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked in clinical operations with a digital health company aimed to help patients access family physicians and other healthcare providers via telehealth, as well as helped plan and design cancer care facilities with BC Cancer's Redevelopment Team. Pareesa received a Master of Science in Epidemiology from 9I制作厂免费 in 2024. Her MSc thesis focused on the prevention of anal HPV infections via use of a carrageenan-based gel and HPV vaccination in gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men. She has also worked as an Assistant Editor with Preventive Medicine and Preventive Medicine Reports since January 2024.
As a research assistant, she continues to focus on the prevention of HPV infection in women and men who have sex with men, as well as support other team members in their work in cancer epidemiology and in fundraising and knowledge translation activities for the Division.
